Hobbies. We all has them.
And video games are a big hobby of mine.
Seriously.
Have been since I was four.
Back in the day, it was Duck Hunt.
Then such epic classics as Final Fantasy I, Megaman 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3.
Then the awesomeness known as Gunstar Heroes.
Then good stuff like Tomb Raider and Need For Speed.
Now I’m up to stuff like KOF XI and Ace Attorney.
But as I’ve grown older I still nostalgia for those good old days. That’s when I downloaded some emulators on my laptop. I have an NES emulator and a Sega Genesis emulator.
On the weekends, those are what entertain me other than YIM/MSN convos with Doccy and Arisu and Lisa and Zephy.
What do I end up playing?
Gunstar Heroes (because seriously that game is still awesome even now).
Megaman 2 (because I like to yell “I’M COMING TO GET YOU, YOU GERMAN BASTARD” when I get to the Wily Stages.)
Megaman 3 (because I have a vendetta against Geminiman).
Super Mario Bros. 3 (BECAUSE THAT GAME IS STILL WIN.)
and…
Megaman 1 (even though Elecman is a bitch of a boss.)
And then I’ve got my lovely DS and a whole plethora of games. Right now I’m playing Ace Attorney Investigations (ps: not going to spoiler any awesome). I got the Jirachi from Gamestop on Pokemon Pearl right now. Can’t wait to pick up a copy of SoulSilver. ;o;

I wish I had better recording software and a standing mic because I’d record an example of my talent for you.
Everyone would think I’d bring up drawing, right?
Wrong.
Yes, drawing is a talent of mine.
But the talent I’m talking about today is…playing the harmonica.
You see, when I was about nine years old, my grandpa bought me a harmonica and started to teach me. I took to it easily, as I loved the sound of the harmonica and wished to learn more of its wonders.
Then I got a bit older and I bought my own harmonica. I always kept the first one (a 10-hole harmonica/blues harp), which I had named Ted in honor of my grandpa. But now I had a second one, which I named Jethro for Jethro Tull. Jethro sounded a bit different from Ted, but I was willing to learn to play through the differences. Of course, Jethro was a 12-hole harmonica, made different from Ted.
And then, when I was sixteen, her grandfather called me outside one day.
Grampy had found a harmonica buried in an area that he was going to till for the garden. It was an old one, fairly well-worn from being buried. I dug it out the rest of the way and dusted it off, trying to see how bad off it was. Miraculously, it was pretty salvageable, so I took it back inside the house.
My first order of business was to take it apart and clean it. After it was spotless, I noted what bits of damage it had. A few of the reeds on the reed plates were pretty well rusted and weren’t working too well, so I needed to get new reed plates for it. After I did, I repaired the harmonica, and decided it needed a name.
So I named it Midvalley. He was a 16-hole chromatic harmonica, a fairly old one with the button-activated sliding bar. Unfortunately, the sliding bar finally gave out so I need to replace it, but when I do, I’ll be playing the moody blues on Midvalley, mark my words.
Though I might one day play Ted or Jethro for y’all too.

An adorable robot with bluegreen eyes. The gijinka version with his blond hair, his superhero mask, and his pet tomato.
That can only mean one thing.

Or as I call him, Captain Awesomepants.
Oh wait you didn’t know that ehdoccy?
Well, I’ve played MM1 and I have to say, he’s SNK-difficult for a Capcom boss. Or as I like to say, he’s the Capcom Boss with SNK Boss Syndrome. And even Geminiman can’t boast that (because I can beat him fairly easily compared to Elecman). You’d think that would make me hate him. Nope. It makes me love him more because he’s quite the challenging little bot to fight.
Also versitile for “relationshipping”. You can pair him with Plum, which is adorable and is a fun alternative to Quickman/Plum. You can pair him with Quickman (though I think the love would be one-sided). You can pair him with Starman, though in the manga Starman is a womanizer to the Nth degree and they never meet in game canon. You can pair him with half the Cossack Number bots (Brightman, Toadman, Ringman, or Diveman) for an interesting international twist. You can pair him with Magnetman (a pairing I call Electromagnetshipping for obvious reasons). Heck, because of Japanese fanart, I’ve seen him paired with the likes of Sheepman (probably because they’re both electricity-using Robot Masters) and Nitroman (who apparently likes to give out free rides).
Heck, there’s also the song Evolution of Circuitry by The Megas. Another reason I love him. The Megas did a cool interpretation of him as being the kind of ‘bot that would rise up against the injustices against robots. The guy to “send the spark of war along the wire”.

That’s most of how it got started.
And I just continued with the whole thing.
I intend it to be pretty serious at some parts (like the whole “Promised Day” plot from the FMA manga).
